The below listed films are those that I've flagged as a must to avoid for anyone but the most deluded
completist. You might think that this list would include those films that I
think are the worst the lucha genre has to offer, but you would be wrong. In
fact, many of the worst movies in the lucha genre still have quite a lot to
offer that is potentially of interest to the viewer, be it incompetence that is
astonishing to the point of ecstasy, head-spinning accidental surrealism, or
sheer negligence that is just so ballsy one can't help but feel a guilty
masochistic thrill at being at its receiving end. No, these films listed below
are simply those that have absolutely nothing to offer in terms
of entertainment, novelty value or historical interest. While each boasts a
long rap sheet of offenses that are uniquely their own, the one inexcusable
quality they all share is that they are boring. So boring, in fact, that you
would rather watch your own slow suicide than sit through them. (Not to put too
fine a point on it, of course.)
